Check the remaining files inside “Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe” clean it up by right-clicking them –>  Delete, and clicking Yes to confirm. You may notice that you can not delete AC folder, but that’s fine.

Now restart your computer. The last thing to do is re-register Microsoft Edge in your account. To do this, open the start menu and type “Windows PowerShell” on the search box, right click on the result search and select run as administartor.

Type the following command:

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers -Name Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml” -Verbose}

and then hit enter, wait until the process is complete successfully.

That’s it, restart your computer again to make sure and then run the Microsoft Edge, it will be just like new.
